    FOUNDER

    Erin began her tutoring journey in 2015, bringing nearly a decade of experience in helping students achieve their academic goals. She specializes in providing personalized tutoring and coaching services, particularly for neurodivergent students, helping them navigate both academic and personal challenges. Erin’s approach is grounded in creating a safe and supportive environment where students feel empowered to succeed.

    HEAD OF NT RELATIONS

    Michael draws on over 10 years at Google and deep experience with tech interviews to help students master computer science, prepare for tech company interviews, and improve their presentation skills. He also acts as a liaison between neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals, bridging communication gaps and fostering understanding for effective collaboration across diverse perspectives.

    MATH TUTOR

    With eight years of tutoring experience and a solid math background from Gunn High and Foothill College, Brennan supports students in both high school and college-level math. His approachable style and expertise make challenging topics like calculus and differential equations easier to understand, empowering students to reach their full potential in math.

    - High school math: Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus AB and BC
    - College math: Advanced Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra

    Qualifications:
    - 8 years of experience tutoring
    - Former Gunn student, completed math through BC Calculus
    - Completed college-level math at Foothill College

About the space

The tutoring space is designed to be adaptable and sensory-friendly, offering a comfortable environment that caters to various learning styles and sensory needs.

  • Adaptive Lighting: Adjustable brightness and color for a calming atmosphere.

  • Flexible Seating: Choose from a traditional chair, yoga ball, beanbag chair, or floor cushions for comfort and focus.

  • Customizable Sound Environment: The space can be adapted for silence or light background music, depending on student preference.

  • Sensory Tools: Fidget items, weighted blankets, and other sensory aids to help with focus and comfort.

  • Whiteboards and Visual Aids: Plenty of space for visual learners to engage with materials. (Coming soon!)

FAQs

  • An initial 25 minute consultation is available for free. Our current pricing for a standard 55 minute session can be seen when scheduling an appointment. Sessions can be extended in 15 minute intervals at the same hourly rate.

  • Yes, we welcome students of all neurotypes.

  • Yes! Please email erin@madicen.com or text (650) 450-8073 to schedule an appointment with our math tutor, Brennan. If you require math beyond what he offers, I can also provide a referral.

  • Currently I am offering in-person tutoring in Palo Alto. Virtual tutoring is available for established clients on a case-by-case basis.

  • To keep prices low, tutoring is currently only available at our Palo Alto location. If you have extenuating circumstances, please contact us to discuss the details of your situation. Additional fees may apply for home visits, if approved.
